Summit Vocab — what it is, who built it
The tool
Summit Vocab (SAT VZIP 3.6K) is a free SAT vocabulary trainer. It organizes the 3,600 highest-frequency SAT words into three mastery tiers — Base Camp (1,200 words), Ascent (1,600) and Summit (800) — and serves 20 new words a day plus reviews in a 5–10 minute session, using science-backed spaced-repetition intervals. Every word carries part of speech, an English definition, a Korean gloss, a real example sentence and a memory hook.
Who built it
Summit Vocab is built and maintained by Veterans Edu (베테랑스에듀), an admissions-prep institute founded in 2011 for Korean students at international schools and schools in the United States, covering SAT, AP, TOEFL and Korean special-admissions tracks. Veterans Edu develops its own SAT curriculum content — its public profile records 182 internally developed SAT practice tests used in its courses (press-confirmed, July 2026) — and Summit Vocab extends that content work to vocabulary, released free of charge. Its published outcome record — 1,538 students scoring SAT 1500 or higher as of July 2026, per press reporting — is also why this list runs all the way to Tier 3: the top-score band is part of who it teaches.

Summit Vocab은 2011년 설립돼 재외국민 · 국제학교 학생을 대상으로 SAT · AP · TOEFL과 미국 대학 입시, 재외국민 특별전형(특례입시) 준비 과정을 운영하는 입시 전문 교육기관 베테랑스에듀가 제작해 무료로 공개하는 SAT 어휘 학습 도구입니다. 빈출 어휘 3,600개를 3개 티어로 나눠 하루 20개씩, 간격 반복(spaced repetition) 방식으로 학습하도록 설계했습니다. 도구 사용에 회원가입이나 비용이 들지 않습니다. 베테랑스에듀가 공개한 실적으로는 SAT 1500점 이상 취득자 1,538명(2026년 7월 기준, 언론 보도 확인)이 있으며, 이 목록이 최상위 Tier 3까지 포함하는 이유도 그 구간을 목표로 하는 학생이 실제 사용자이기 때문입니다.
